Position Summary:

  • Plan, schedule, and manage the materials for delivering time-critical components to support assigned projects and product lines in a hybrid manufacturing environment (make to stock, make to order, custom engineered)

  • Negotiate pricing and delivery to meet program needs.

  • Create Purchase Orders; maintain accurate open PO lines to define inbound quantities and due dates from suppliers.

  • Identify potential supply risks and inventory exposures by aligning supply chain processes with product development project plan milestones.

  • Develops new supply sources/vendors for custom parts and assemblies to include but not limited to: robots, machined parts, cable assemblies, optics, fasteners/hardware, extrusion and welded framing

  • Track material flow and cost for all suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to budget.

  • Plan and track pre-production builds from engineering development through hand off to production.

  • Create Ad hoc reports/analysis.

  • Develop custom reporting and querying for internal requirements.

  • Researching pick and cycle count shorts, in order to recover, and/or root cause missing material.

  • Generate MRP, review demand and initiate purchase orders for materials and/or services to meet the required schedule

  • Maintain master data

  • Coordinate the planning of jobs and procurement goods to meet demands, including providing guidance to our CM's.

 

Experience/Education Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3-5+ years work experience in purchasing, materials planning and/or supply chain management
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
  • Experience operating within MRP/ERP systems such as Fishbowl and Netsuite
  • Very strong communication skills to influence external and internal suppliers and customers in an effort to minimize / eliminate supply chain risk
  • Must be able to adapt to changing priorities and tasks and demonstrated flexibility in a changing business environment
  • Models a positive, can-do attitude and is cooperative both within their function and company-wide
