Favorite part of working for Hub Recruiting?
Besides the casual and fun environment, my favorite part of interning for Hub was that they made me feel like I wasn’t just an intern. I was given responsibilities and taken as a serious employee rather than someone just there for the summer. I felt comfortable pitching new ideas, making mistakes, and asking for help, which really made me want to work my hardest for the company knowing that they were open minded and understanding.
Best piece of advice for job-seekers?
I’m probably not the best one to answer this because in just a few months I will too be searching for a job. That being said, from the experience I do have, I would say don’t be afraid to look for jobs outside of your comfort zone. Just because you are majoring in something or have only worked in a certain industry, does not mean you are stuck there.
If I could have any job in the world without worrying about money or practicality, I would be a travel blogger. After coming back from a semester abroad in Europe, it opened my eyes to how big the world is and how much more of it I want to see in my lifetime. From the richest to the poorest of places, from the hottest to the coldest of places and from the most tourist-filled to the most desolate places…I want to see it all.
