Creative Director - Rockland, MA


MindMax is seeking a full-time Creative Director in our Rockland office to lead and develop staff and contract resources and to maintain the strategic direction of our client marketing operations.

Performance Goals

- Increase the number of variable vendor/contractor resources across marketing functional areas (while ensuring exceptional quality) by 50+% within 90 days
o Prioritize, recruit, qualify, and document details on contract network (writing, graphic design,
strategy, SEO, digital marketing management, etc.)
- Provide ongoing management, vetting, and growth of variable resources aligned to the strategic needs of client engagements
- Develop an improved functional organization for the marketing team to execute on client work with focus on aligning resources to tasks based on value and cost
- Define standards for marketing deliverables including level of effort estimates and resources to execute(leveraging and extending existing work product)
 o Define a standard marketing plan deliverable for client work
o Define work product standards and process for digital marketing execution, email nurture
activities, and reporting
o Aggregate a portfolio of best-in-class deliverable examples
- Identify, document, and execute repeatable processes to improve efficiency of the marketing department
- Inspire and lead the team, building the confidence and skill set of each individual contributor

Duties an Responsibilities

1. Manage the internal and extended team delivering marketing services to clients
2. Refine and manage MindMax marketing processes as pertains to client schools
3. Attend client services and/or consulting kick-off meetings to provide strategic guidance on marketing direction and analytics
4. Meet with clients during engagements to assess their marketing processes and tools
5. Work with internal and partner analytics teams to deliver insight and guidance on use of digital marketing strategies and tools
6. Prepare strategic client marketing plans, media plans, email nurture messaging documents
7. Create and implement effective measurement processes and toolsets


 Minimum of 10-15 years of marketing experience with at least 5 years of experience managing a
marketing staff
 Proven business judgement and ability to lead teams and work effectively across functions, levels, and organizations
 Comfortable, self-confident, diplomatic presence leading meetings and participating in a range of client interactions in high-pressure situations
 Ability to develop and maintain a regular budget for marketing expenditures
 Effective leadership, management, and organizational skills
 Interest in and knowledge of market trends
 Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset
 Strong writing skills, including business writing and marketing content writing experience
 Recent, relevant experience driving digital marketing strategies
 Experience with CRM and marketing automation tools
 Proven track record of effectively leveraging analytics and measurement to improve performance
 Ability to execute integrated and multi-channel marketing strategies
 Marketing experience in higher education a plus
 Undergraduate degree, preferably in Marketing or a related field

Travel Requirements

The Marketing Director will be expected to travel approximately 20-30% in accordance with MindMax’s conference calendar and to support client engagements and sales proposals.
